Summer Mountain Adventure Camp - 2026
This summer, we're heading out on an incredible journey to the Canadian Rockies.
But this time, we're shifting our focus from sport karate to self-defence and wilderness survival skills.
This isn't just a camp — it's 6 days of adventure, hiking, new friendships, meaningful activities, and real, practical skills out in nature.
Campers will learn to:
🔥 Build a campfire
💧 Purify water in natural conditions
🧭 Navigate using landmarks and terrain
⛑ Provide first aid
🥋 Basics of self-defence
🌲 Fundamental outdoor living skills
🍃 Basics of foraging for food in nature
Throughout the camp, kids will complete challenges and earn special badges for the skills they master. At the end of the programme, every participant receives the ultimate award:

The journey passes through some of Canada's most breathtaking mountain scenery.
🏡 5. Accommodations
A private mountain property in Parson, BC.
The grounds offer a panoramic view of the mountains and a river valley with unique wetlands listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Campers will stay in cosy rooms featuring solid wood beds and a private bathroom in every room.
⛰️ 6. Adventure Program
Each group will complete 5 hikes or excursions throughout the camp:
- 3 hikes during the camp
- 2 hikes during bus transfers
Routes include:
- Lake Minnewanka
- Johnston Canyon
- Quinn Peak
- Cedar Crossing
- Quinn Creek
- Forest Explorer Trail
Camp Badge System
🔥 Fire Master
Participants will learn:
- How to safely and properly build a campfire
- Which materials to use for starting a fire
- How to keep a fire going
- Fire safety rules
💧 Water Master
Kids will discover:
- How to find water in nature
- How to make a simple water filter
- How to purify water in the field
🧭 Navigation
Participants will learn:
- Basic orienteering skills
- How to read a map
- What to do if you get lost
- How to make a compass from materials found in nature
⛑️ First Aid
Kids will master:
- Basic first aid skills
- How to respond to cuts, fractures, bites, and other injuries
- The basics of handling emergency situations
🥾 Experienced Hiker
Participants who complete all camp hikes will learn:
- How to properly prepare for a hike
- Safety rules on mountain trails
- How to read trail markers
- The importance of teamwork
🥋 Self-Defence
Participants will learn:
- The core principles of self-defence
- How to assess a potentially dangerous situation
- Basic defensive techniques against an attack
- How to handle and protect yourself in bullying situations
🌲 Wilderness Living Skills
Kids will learn:
- How to build a simple shelter
- The core principles of living in the outdoors
- Safety rules when encountering wildlife
- Water safety rules
🍃 Food Foraging Skills
Participants will discover:
- How people historically sourced food in the wild
- How basic trap mechanisms work
- How to build a model trap from natural materials
- How to identify some edible plants
🏆 Camp Final
At the end of camp, teams will face the Adventure Challenge — a final test that brings everything together.
Upon completing it, all participants receive the ultimate award:

No spending money needed — everything is already covered in the camp fee.
Due to overwhelming interest in our mountain adventure camp this year, we are running two sessions of Mountain Explorer Camp 2026.
The camp runs in small groups so that every child receives maximum attention, safety, and support during all activities.
- 70% of spots are already booked
- 90% of our campers return year after year
That's why this year we've updated the program and added brand new skills.
To reserve your spot, a registration deposit is required:
🔹Before April 5 - $235 CAD
🔹From April 6 - $270 CAD
🔹From June 1 - $300 CAD
This deposit secures your child's place at camp.
If your plans change, the deposit may be refunded if another participant fills your spot.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 3 weeks before your session begins.
